What is a domain name?

A domain name is the name you type into the address bar of a browser (such as Microsoft Edge, Internet Explorer, Firefox, Google Chrome or Safari or Opera) to get to a site on the web.

A domain name is a user friendly way of remembering a Website then its IP address. For example: nettway.com and nettway.com.au point to the IP Address of our server.
